Chedrick Edwards, PASTOR

Pastor Chedrick Edwards is the founding pastor of the Universal Worship Center. His focus is to glorify God, edify the Body of Christ, and develop strong leaders to advance the Kingdom of Heaven. He has dedicated his life to guiding people into a deeper relationship with Jesus through God’s Word. 

Pastor Ched accepted God's call to preach the Gospel of Christ under the mentorship of the late Dr. John M. Woods, Sr., at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama City. Before accepting this calling, he faithfully served as a deacon and musical director for over 20 years. He taught Bible Study classes for Youth and Adults, Sunday School, and reestablished the Agape Praise Team. His service led to significant spiritual growth, preparing him for the role of pastor.

Currently, Pastor Chedrick is a student at the North Carolina Bible Institute. His ultimate goal is to earn a Doctorate in Christian Church Leadership. He believes Christian Education is essential for helping leaders reach their full potential.

In addition to his pastoral duties, one of his greatest achievements and blessings is his family. He has been married to Captoria Edwards for 14 years, and together they have three beautiful daughters: Tayler, Anna-Claire, and Madison. Their family brings immense joy to Lady Captoria, Pastor Ched, and the entire Universal Family.
